Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at M&J Accounting Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, as well as overseeing the preparation and entry of journal entries for our General Ledger computer systems.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Financial Reporting, Tax Reporting, and Government Reportorial Requirements, as well as experience with BIR Rulings and International Accounting Standards. They will also be up-to-date on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial reports
  • Prepare and enter journal entries for General Ledger computer systems
  • Monitor funds regularly to avoid overdraft charges and facilitate bank transfers and conversions
  • Ensure that bookkeepers submit and comply with reportorial requirements to government agencies
  • Facilitate preparation of all documents & schedules for examination in time for BIR audit and discuss findings with BIR auditors during examinations

Requirements:

  • College graduate, preferably with a degree in Accountancy
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience related to the field
  • Solid background in Financial Reporting, Tax Reporting, and Government Reportorial Requirements
  • Updated on BIR Rulings, International Accounting Standards & Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
