Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Producer to join our team and support the Engineering department on Project Fantasy. As a Technical Producer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful development and release of our game.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Align and monitor the tech team's objectives to ensure full support for project priorities and requirements, in coordination with the project's Technical Director.
- Technology Backlog Management: Engage in long-term planning and upkeep of the technology backlog, in collaboration with the Engine Team.
- Short-Term Planning and Tracking: Manage short-term planning and tracking goals within the tech team, in alignment with the tech team Leads.
- Workflow Enhancements and Production Optimizations: Identify and implement workflow enhancements and production optimizations to improve the overall efficiency of the development process.
- TCR/TRC Requirements: Monitor and track TCR/TRC requirements, as well as other external technical certification requirements.
- Middleware Coordination: Coordinate and manage requirements with external middleware providers.
- Build and Branch Management: Oversee, coordinate, and validate builds and branches, ensuring they align with game timelines and milestones.
- Release Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end release process, ensuring successful and timely deployment of updates and patches.
- Troubleshooting and Communication: Engage with technical details, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate effective communication between production and engineering teams.
- Collaboration and Risk Management: Collaborate with QA, Game Management, and developers to triage issues, conduct risk assessments, and manage changes to ensure the best builds possible.
- Build Stability: Be the linchpin for build stability across the project, collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Critical Bug Resolution: Exercise authority to prioritize and resolve critical bugs promptly, maintaining stable builds.
- QA Support: Support QA by helping them maintain visibility and champion processes to help drive stability across the project.
- Professional Experience: Possess 3+ years professional experience as a Technical Producer, Project Manager, Release Manager, or in a related role.
- Project Management Knowledge: Profound knowledge of project management methods and software packages.
- Software Development Practices: Good understanding of general software development practices.
- AAA Game Development Experience: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully shipping AAA games, preferably multiplayer online.
- Technical Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the challenges and requirements associated with the production and release of high-quality, AAA games.
- Configuration Management Tools: Have experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Perforce, Git, SubVersion).
- TRC and XR Guidelines: Familiarity with TRC and XR guidelines.
- Software Defect Tracking: Experience with software defect tracking methods.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Task Management: Exhibit the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
