Job Title: Server (T), In Room Dining - Casual

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server to join our In Room Dining team at Fairmont Orchid. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests in the comfort of their own rooms. You will work closely with our culinary team to deliver high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm and personalized service to guests in their rooms, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage services, including menu items, preparation methods, and hotel services.
  • Upsell and promote food and beverage offers to maximize sales revenue.
  • Pick up and serve food and beverage orders promptly, ensuring that guests receive their orders in a timely manner.
  • Remember individual patrons' names and preferences to extend personalized service.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage are served according to service standards.
  • Clear and tidy up tables after the departure of patrons as quickly as possible.
  • Perform opening and closing side duties as assigned, setting all tables according to standards and procedures.
  • Assist other Food and Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required.
  • Apply necessary precautions with regards to hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Be well-versed in hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detailed and service-oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.
  • Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).
