Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Security Engineer to execute the implementation of IT security controls and support the implementation of appropriate measures in terms of processes and technology. This role will work closely with IT Infrastructure colleagues and IT Security & Compliance teams to ensure secure design and implementation of systems.

About the Role

The IT Infrastructure Security Engineer will be directly involved in implementing the corporate-wide information security management program related to IT Infrastructure. They will contribute to reporting on quantifiable security KPIs and drive vulnerability management pertaining to IT Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support infrastructure security projects by ensuring implementation of required security controls from the design phase throughout the lifecycle of the systems.
  • Enforce secure configuration of new and existing assets, design and implement mitigating controls as required.
  • Define and fully implement effective vulnerability remediation measures on both procedural and technology layers (e.g., system hardening, patching, lifecycle management).
  • Drive security culture within IT Infrastructure.
  • Coevery aspects of regulatory security and data protection requirements on the infrastructure level, e.g., GxP and GDPR.

This role requires an experienced security architect with extensive hands-on experience in relevant IT fields (e.g., network, virtualization, AD, SQL, etc.). The ideal candidate should have supporting Operational Technology in the life science or manufacturing industry subject to regulatory compliance. A strong solution-oriented engineering mindset is essential.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, preferably in the life sciences or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing security controls and driving vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
