About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Assistant to join our team at ALS Limited. As a Senior Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities and the delivery of high-quality results to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and calibrate a range of laboratory instruments, including LECO, AAS, ICPOES, and ICPMS equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure optimal instrument performance.
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure that all results meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate with our team of scientists and technicians to achieve our business objectives.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
