Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electronics Laboratory Specialist to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our laboratory, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and that all tests are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Lab Management:
- Inventory and equipment inspection
- Calendar management (scheduling tests and maintenance)
- Development Team Support:
- Manage laboratory items and equipment
- Register new equipment and items in our ERP system
- Test Setup Management:
- Design and setup test equipment and assemblies
- Modify and improve test setups as needed
- Commission test equipment and ensure it is functioning properly
- IT communications and troubleshooting
- Reworks and Test Cable Assemblies:
- Rework manufactured products to fix issues
- Design and manufacture test cable assemblies
- Qualification Campaigns:
- Prepare tools and equipment for qualification campaigns
- Support during environmental and EMC testing
- Test Laboratory Equipment Management:
- Study and recommend equipment and tools for testing
- Monitor and maintain equipment status
- Calibrate instruments and request calibration as needed
- Test Plan Execution:
- Execute test plans and collect data
- Board Characterizations:
- Launch and collect data from long-term tests (e.g. eye diagram measurements, BER measurements)
- Launch and collect data from cross-tests (e.g. cross-talk measurements)
- Launch and collect data on thermal testing during board commissioning
- Support during pre-qualification testing (environmental, electrical, EMC)
- Mandatory:
- Formal studies or equivalent certification in electronics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electronics technician role, specifically in an R&D laboratory setting
- Proven expertise in managing an R&D laboratory, including inventory and equipment inspection
- Proficient in designing, assembling, and modifying test setups, with a talent for crafting test cable assemblies
