Join Destinus as a Robotics & Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics & Control Engineer to join our team at Destinus, an aerospace technology company pioneering near-space vehicles and infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and development of guidance and navigation control systems for our UAVs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of passionate GNC engineers and contribute to GNC design and development activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, develop, and integrate GNC solutions into UAVs
  • Define Control Laws and Algorithm Architecture for onboard automation systems, including Flight Controls and Navigation Systems
  • Identify possible failure modes and define robust contingency Control Laws to maintain safe flight
  • Work Package Management of a defined scope, driving the project work forward to achieve agreed deliverables on time and within budget
  • Ensure the integration of GNC algorithms with the embedded system and execute validation testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in GNC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering
  • Strong applied math foundations and ability to derive algorithms related to guidance, navigation, and control
  • Experience in linear and non-linear feedback control system design
  • Experience with Kalman filtering, sensor fusion algorithms, and simulation development
  • Experience with C development for embedded systems and version control systems like Git
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis
  • Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration
  • Fluent English Speaker
