Network Deployment Planner, Planning, Implementation and Coordination Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Deployment Planner to join our Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scoping and planning interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations.
You will review project forecasts and ensure physical infrastructure resources are available for their execution. The ideal candidate will possess a technology background that enables them to understand the complexities of the sophisticated network architecture of Amazon data centers.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with infrastructure supply chain & procurement, network engineering and technical program managers to plan and deliver customer capacity to the local data center installation & deployment technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to timelines.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement.
- Work closely with our Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity.
- Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Familiarity with common networking terms.
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs.
- Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
- Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
