We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Alter Domus. As a key member of our Compliance Function, you will provide critical support to our Compliance Teams across EMEA, working closely with our UK and Maltese teams based in Spain.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in ongoing monitoring of client relationships for AML/CFT purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct name matching on our daily screening tool and review hits to identify potential risks.
- Review client acceptance files, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and escalate identified risks to the relevant teams.
- Undertake sample checks on activities performed by the 1st line of defence and draft reports to support the local Compliance team.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation of client files and collect figures/statistics to support the local Compliance team.
- Participate in projects for Malta and UK Compliance teams as required, contributing to the development of a Compliance framework and culture.
- Assist in the performance of the Compliance monitoring programme and monitor transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- 2+ years of experience in a Compliance and/or AML role in a financial service industry or an auditing firm or consultancy providing support to a financial service provider on Compliance or AML.
- Thorough understanding of Know Your Customer and knowledge of UK/European Compliance and AML related regulation.
- Professional level of English (spoken and written).
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and reporting skills, and written communication skills.
- Rigorous, quick learner, and results-oriented.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
