About the Role

Sin nombre is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Manager to join our Contract Services team. As a Data Protection Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Data Protection Framework: Contribute to the development and implementation of a data protection framework aligned with GDPR, ISO 27001, and regional and global privacy laws.
  2. Central Repository of Evidence: Create and maintain a central repository of evidence for data protection compliance, aligned with the data protection framework.
  3. Monitoring and Compliance: Create a monitoring tool and privacy controls and continuously monitor compliance with the data protection framework across the business.
  4. Risk Assessments and Audits: Assist the VP, Privacy and Global DPO in performing risk assessments and privacy assessments/audits of new technologies, vendors, and processes.
  5. Subject Matter Expert: Support the Global Quality Systems and Information Technology teams by acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of privacy and data protection.
  6. Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify potential issues and risks in respect to the processing of personal data both within and across business functions and document fully in the risk register.
  7. Quality Control: Perform quality control on the records of processing from each department to ensure consistency and alignment with relevant business policies.
  8. Data Governance: Drive compliance with data governance policy requirements to archive and destroy data at the end of the information lifecycle across the business.
  9. Ad Hoc Activities: Perform any other ad hoc activities or projects required for Sin nombre related to privacy or data protection.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related area along with related work experience in the field of Data Privacy, Compliance, or IT.
  2. Privacy and Compliance Experience: Three years' in a privacy role or similar compliance type role required, and experience auditing technology vendors and platforms desired.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of GDPR, other regional and global privacy legislation, and good knowledge of best practices in information security necessary.
  4. Information Technologies and Data Privacy: Deep understanding of information technologies and data privacy and security, particularly in relation to healthcare and life sciences industries.
  5. Software and Tools: Familiarity with OneTrust Privacy Management Software an advantage.
  6. Business Process Improvement: Experience with documenting, analyzing, and improving business processes.
  7. Communication and Influencing: Ability to build strong relationships with influencing skills to get things accomplished.
  8. Project Management: Excellent project management skills and ability to drive actions to conclusion.
  9. Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, and ability to exercise excellent judgment and discretion in carrying out activities.
  10. Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  11. Cultural Competence: Ability to work collaboratively with team members across multiple cultures across the world and ability to work independently and autonomously as well.
