Wood is currently recruiting for a key role in the management of health, safety, and environmental aspects of a construction project in Spain.
Candidate will be responsible for organizing, managing, and administering all health, safety, and environmental construction activities in accordance with company standards, relevant legislation, and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret the project safety, security, health, and environment plan and implement the program during construction and pre-commissioning phase.
- Apply legal and other requirements (ISO 45001 & 14001 systems, company health, safety, and environmental standards, and client requirements) to ensure the safety and well-being of all workers as well as the preservation of the environment.
- Manage health, safety, and environmental aspects during execution to achieve health, safety, and environmental plan objectives.
- Prepare incident/accident statistics and reporting system.
Qualifications:
- Recognized health, safety, and environmental certification: Intermediate or higher level technician in occupational risk prevention.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles (supervisor and above) with exposure to engineering and construction projects, especially in the oil & gas/chemical industry.
- Fully proficient in Spanish; knowledge of English to a fluent degree.
- Good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills.
- Highly motivated, well-organized, resourceful, and proactive.
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude.
- Previous Wood or COVESTRO experience will be a valuable advantage.
- Only individuals with a valid European work permit can be considered.
