Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group. As a key member of our international service engineering team, you will be responsible for developing solutions to technical questions related to the mechanical drive train of wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions to technical questions relating to the mechanical drive train of wind turbines
  • Be the central contact point between local service organizations and construction teams, quality assurance, and product development
  • Initiate and coordinate root cause analyses and use specialist knowledge to support the development of sustainable corrective measures
  • Assert claims against third parties and develop commercial solutions in close cooperation with local service organizations, purchasing, and the legal department
  • Improve standards and processes and ensure permanent knowledge transfer between relevant departments and locations
  • Take responsibility for mechanical components, monitor their condition, and identify potential quality deviations

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed a technical degree (mechanical engineering or comparable)
  • Knowledge about root cause analyses and the sustainable elimination of systematic errors (e.g. in the application of the 8D methodology)
  • Preferably many years of experience in dealing with mechanical assemblies, ideally planetary gears (e.g. design and development, production or quality assurance)
  • Very good business English and good to very good knowledge of German
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, ideally experience using Microsoft PowerBI or SQL databases
  • Results-oriented, highly analytical, consistent, and dynamic
  • Team player and willing to travel occasionally (willingness to travel approx. 10%)
