Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Service Engineer to join our international team of technical experts. As a key member of our service engineering team, you will be responsible for developing solutions to technical questions related to the mechanical drive train of wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions to technical questions related to the mechanical drive train of wind turbines
  • Work closely with local service organizations, construction teams, quality assurance, and product development to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Initiate and coordinate root cause analyses to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Assert claims against third parties and develop commercial solutions in close cooperation with local service organizations, purchasing, and the legal department
  • Improve standards and processes, ensuring permanent knowledge transfer between relevant departments and locations
  • Take responsibility for mechanical components, monitor their condition, and identify potential quality deviations

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a technical degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of root cause analyses and the sustainable elimination of systematic errors
  • Preferably, many years of experience in dealing with mechanical assemblies, ideally planetary gears
  • Very good business English and good to very good knowledge of German
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, ideally experience using Microsoft PowerBI or SQL databases
  • Results-oriented, highly analytical, consistent, and dynamic
  • Team player with a willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 10%)
