Key Responsibilities- Manage key product categories from start to finish, defining and executing category strategy.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, distributors, and laboratories.
- Negotiate deals to secure the best value and favourable terms for exclusive partnerships and promotions.
- Take full ownership of the P&L for assigned categories, setting ambitious revenue targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers and the Demand Planner to ensure optimal product availability and manage inventory levels.
- Run promotional campaigns that align with market trends and consumer needs.
- Continuously assess supplier relationships and use data-driven insights to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align strategies and resolve challenges.
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or category management, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
- Proven experience in leading high-stakes negotiations with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining product quality and availability.
- A strong record of accomplishment of driving category growth, managing P&L, and aligning business goals with supplier partnerships.
- Data-driven decision-making skills with experience in demand forecasting, performance analysis, and inventory management.
