Academic Affairs Director

Berklee College of Music's campus in Valencia, Spain, is a hub for global music education and innovation. As a key member of the Valencia Executive Team, the Dean of Academic Affairs plays a vital role in shaping the academic strategy and operations of the campus.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of inspiring and guiding academic programs, building on Berklee's strategic plan and embracing the unique presence of the Valencia campus in Europe and the Mediterranean. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative approach, the Dean will work closely with the Executive Director and Berklee Academic Affairs to develop and implement academic initiatives that drive student success and institutional growth.
Key responsibilities include providing direction on academic strategy and operations, leading an academic team of seasoned educators and industry professionals, and collaborating with campus and institutional leaders to shape programs and ensure consistency between Valencia and Boston. The Dean will also work closely with the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost and other Berklee Boston personnel to develop programs that complement existing offerings and align with institutional goals.
This is a full-time leadership and administrative position that requires occasional travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education, a passion for academic innovation, and excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement academic strategy and operations
- Lead an academic team of educators and industry professionals
- Collaborate with campus and institutional leaders to shape programs and ensure consistency
- Work closely with the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost and other Berklee Boston personnel to develop programs
