About the Role

The IoT Developer will be part of the Factory of the Future / Industry 4.0 team at Magna Mechatronics, supporting the digitalization strategy across the region. This individual will manage the network of systems from Operational Technology to cloud technology, developing and implementing digitalization initiatives across MML divisions. The role will also focus on the digitalization of production lines and on-premises infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.
• Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
• Create IoT applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.
• Support creation of technical guidelines, standards, and templates for digitalization projects to be scaled across the MML group.
• Support the creation of an OT architecture for MML divisions.
• Interface with corporate and support divisions to implement digitalization projects.
• Receive and provide training to divisional teams related to digitalization.
• Develop KPIs, metrics, and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or equivalent proof of baseline knowledge.
• 3+ years experience in software development.
• Experience with programming languages (ex. Python, C#, JavaScript, C++).
• Familiar with source control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Familiar with cloud architecture.
• Ability to write code to interact with UNS services.
• Provide detailed specifications to proposed solutions including materials, external services, and internal resources required.
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Act with honesty and integrity and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna's Compliance Policies and Procedures.
