BASF Digital Solutions is seeking a talented Data Science Trainee to join our Site Logistics Management and Operations team. As a Data Science Trainee, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver AI-driven applications and advanced predictive analysis to our customers.

About the Role

As a Data Science Trainee, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team in identifying customer needs and requirements
  • Helping with the delivery of effective AI solutions
  • Ensuring the correct deployment to production and maintenance/support of models
  • Documenting processes and results to contribute to upscaling and managing services globally
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI and machine learning
What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive 18-month program based in the Digital Hub Madrid, including:

  • A 6-month internship period to learn and gain hands-on experience
  • A 12-month training contract to kick-start your career
  • Four rotations, each approximately five months long, in at least three different teams to give you exposure to different parts of digitalization
  • An all-expense paid rotation in Germany to expand your network and develop your intercultural skills
Requirements

We are looking for committed interns/trainees who want to gain knowledge and develop professional skills. To be eligible, you should:

  • Be finishing a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • Show interest in programming and an active involvement in extra-curricular activities of any kind
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bring a positive learning spirit and a growth mindset
  • Know programming languages such as Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Basic knowledge on MLOps
