Job Description
As a Commodity Buyer EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of raw material procurement for our EMEA braking facilities. You will report directly to the Global Commodity Manager and work closely with the Regional Purchasing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve corporate objectives, including supplier rationalization, cost management, and localization initiatives.
- Monitor and communicate global business trends, supply market dynamics, and technological drivers to stakeholders.
- Build strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate contracts, and resolve escalations to enhance supply chain reliability.
- Drive cost recovery initiatives, manage supplier scorecards, and oversee advanced technology procurement projects.
- Identify and address supply risks, ensuring business continuity and financial stability within the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management, or Logistics. A Master's degree is a strong asset.
- Experience in purchasing or materials management, preferably in high-volume manufacturing industries.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
