Globalriser is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and manufacturing of subsea well control equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of subsea well control equipment, including strength calculations, 3D CAD modeling, and drawing using SolidWorks.
- Work alongside experienced engineers to gain a fundamental understanding of the design, operation, inspection, and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment.
- Provide assistance to project and mechanical engineers with in-house development, including vendor management during the fabrication stage.
- Manage design, development, and manufacturing projects from inception through to delivery, including procurement, logistics, resource planning, scheduling, reporting, and inspection report reviews.
- Draft manuals and procedures as required.
- Report effectively to management and customers.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- No experience required, as this is a junior position.
- Vacation or experiential training relevant to the field would be advantageous.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, particularly SolidWorks.
- Knowledge in FEA software, particularly SolidWorks Simulation, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge in engineering calculations software, Mathcad, MATLAB, or similar, would be advantageous.
