Job Title: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

Global Riser is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and manufacturing of subsea well control equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and development of subsea well control equipment, including strength calculations, 3D CAD modeling, and drawing using SolidWorks.
  • Work alongside the current engineering team to gain a fundamental understanding of the design, operation, inspection, and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment.
  • Provide assistance to Project & Mechanical Engineers with in-house development, including vendor management during fabrication stage.
  • Manage design, development, and manufacturing projects from inception through to delivery.
  • Draft manuals and procedures as required.
  • Report effectively to management and customers.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • No experience required, as this is a Junior Position.
  • Vacation or experiential training relevant to the field would be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written communicator (email, technical report writing).
  • Excellent level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, in particular SolidWorks.
