Job Opportunity: Chromatography Technician

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a highly skilled Chromatography Technician to join their team in the Chromatography, Thermal Analysis & Electrochemistry Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all the Unit instrumentation, including chromatography (GC, LC, SFC, IC), thermal analysis, electrochemistry, and accessory lab instrumentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operation and maintenance of all the Unit instrumentation
  • Helping researchers in the use of the Unit equipment and techniques
  • Laboratory organization and definition of experiments
  • Study of new techniques suitable for the Unit and the center
  • Development of analysis methods and validation of chromatographic methods
  • Implementation and start-up of new equipment

The ideal candidate will have a degree in chemistry and experience in chromatographic techniques, including GC, HPLC, UPC, SFC, and preparative systems. Fluency in Spanish and/or Catalan is also required.
