Industrial Sector Operations Director

A multinational company in the province of Barcelona seeks to incorporate an EMEA Operations Director for the Industrial Sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities of operations in the department, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the department and the organization.
  • Lead the engineering team to create new products for future manufacture.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the R&D department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization's operations division.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Ensure that project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Establish and administer the R&D department's budget.
  • Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other industry-related field required.
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
