Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our Engineering Capex Projects team. As a Construction Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our CAPEX program and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and define construction design documents and deliverables, ensuring functionalities meet project specifications.
  • Integrate aspects of constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety into construction projects, collaborating with technical teams.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, including pipe and isometrics, mechanical specifications, and civil specifications, in collaboration with technical teams and contractors.
  • Develop and manage project execution strategies and timelines, aligning with project capex plans and site activities.
  • Define and manage regular construction reports, including schedule, cost control, and other relevant metrics, and forward to project management.
  • Coordinate contractors, supervise construction works, and mitigate potential risks during construction phases.
  • Conduct technical revisions of equipment and materials as necessary.

Requirements

  • MSc in Chemical, Industrial, or similar Engineering or BSc in Chemical, Industrial, or similar Engineering.
  • Spanish native speaker and English business fluent (min B2).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the pharma biotech industry or related field, with demonstrable expertise.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of main international design standards (ASME, UNE-EN-ISO) and Spanish industrial safety and civil regulations.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical sanitary design and regulations (FDA, cGMP, ASME-BPE).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D or similar.
  • Positive, proactive, diligent, engaged, and accessible/open to dialogue person.
