About the Role

Cepsa Colombia S.A. is seeking a highly skilled Trade Finance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Trading team, you will play a vital role in optimizing value from both legacy hydrocarbons and emerging energy flows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial analysis of investment projects to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Optimize working capital and minimize risks associated with trading activities.
  • Manage export and import documentary guarantees, including letters of credit and standby letters of credit.
  • Execute Structured Finance transactions, including prepayments, pre-exports, liquidity swaps, and stock monetization.
  • Monitor derivative activity in clearinghouses, optimize portfolios, and negotiate with counterparties.
  • Seek and secure insurance to minimize client payment risk.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in finance/trading within the required functions.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1).
  • Expertise in executing Trade Finance operations and advanced knowledge of the Trading business.
  • Proficiency in Structured Finance and financial modeling.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerBI.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities for investment decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management.
  • High level of autonomy, versatility, and proactivity.
