Robotics Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our Robotics and Automation Unit at Eurecat Technology Center in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, AI, and computer vision, with a focus on autonomous navigation for ground mobile robots.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new concepts and robotic ideas, participate in scientific publications, and support project management to ensure proper project execution. Additionally, they will establish and maintain contact with clients and partners in consortium.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in the definition and development of new concepts and robotic ideas
• Scientific contribution to the advances of the projects
• Software development, validation, and maintenance of good quality applied research
• Sporadic support/supervision to robot integration, field trials, and robot maintenance
• Participating in scientific publications
• Supporting project management to ensure proper project execution
• Establishing and maintaining contact with clients and partners in consortium

Required skills include a PhD, MSc, or equivalent experience in robotics, AI, computer vision, or a related discipline. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of ROS, good programming skills, and experience with path planning and SLAM.
