Eurecat Technology Center in Barcelona is looking for a skilled Cognitive Robotics Engineer to join their team.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with expertise in applied research and development of robotics solutions, particularly in Cognitive Robotics. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of innovative robotics projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development of new robotic concepts and ideas.
• Design, develop, and validate high-quality software for robotics solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to define and implement new concepts and robotic ideas.
• Sporadically support robot integration and field trials.
• Participate in scientific publications and project management to ensure successful project execution.
• Establish and maintain contact with clients and partners in consortiums.

About You

We require a candidate with a strong background in robotics, AI, computer vision, or a related field, preferably with a master's degree or equivalent experience. Your skills should include:

• Conceptualization, design, and implementation of scalable and modular architectures and solutions.
• Strong software development skills, with experience in C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, reusable code, and software documentation.
• Knowledge and experience in containerization (e.g., Docker), code versioning (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Scientific background in areas such as behavior trees, robot learning, task planning, HRI, and artificial intelligence/deep learning.
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and creativity.
• Excellent knowledge of English is required.
