About the Job

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex online stores, a solid working knowledge of PHP, and proficiency in applying SOLID principles and design patterns in software development.

You will be responsible for developing web and backend applications based on PHP, working with DevOps methods, and collaborating with the team to implement requirements and ensure compliance with clean software architecture principles.

  • Developing web and backend applications based on PHP
  • Working with DevOps methods (e.g. continuous integration) as well as platforms and tools such as Git, Ansible, Docker (Swarm)
  • Planning requirements and implementing them in the team
  • Ensuring compliance with clean software architecture principles and practices, including the use of domain-driven design (DDD)
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in computer science, a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist or equivalent vocational training
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Solid working knowledge of PHP
  • Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and design patterns in software development
  • In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Elastic Search), software architectures (e.g. EDA and related tools e.g. RabbitMQ), and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Experience in the automation of software tests using tools such as PHPUnit or Cypress
  • Good understanding of web security best practices and secure coding techniques
