Senior Geophysical Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geophysical Surveyor to join our Marine Survey department at Tradebe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating offshore geophysical survey operations, leading and supervising survey crews, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

• Plan and coordinate offshore geophysical survey operations, including route planning, equipment selection, and personnel allocation.
• Lead and supervise survey crews during offshore operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices for health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Oversee the deployment and operation of geophysical survey equipment, including MBES, SSS, SBP, magnetometers, and other relevant technologies.
• Provide regular updates on survey progress, results, and any potential issues or challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive survey reports, maps, and charts summarizing survey findings and interpretations.
• Supervise the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to quality control standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Geology, Topography, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Marine Geophysics or a closely related discipline.
• Additional certifications, including STCW95, BOSIET, and HSE.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Marine Survey operations, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
• Proficiency in UXO surveys and vessel mobilization procedures.
• Extensive experience in acquiring and processing hydrographic and geophysical data using advanced equipment.
• Track record of producing high-quality technical reports and maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
• In-depth familiarity with surface and subsea positioning systems, including GNSS, INS, USBL, and other relevant technologies.
