As a Senior Contract Manager in our Global Construction Procurement team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our offshore wind farm projects globally during the construction phase. Your primary focus will be on contract management of tier 1 / major contracts, ensuring contractual deliverables are met.
Your key responsibilities:
- Contract management of high-value, complex contracts to guarantee contractual deliverables are met during the construction phase;
- Close collaboration with Project Managers and package teams, advising on contractual and commercial issues, identifying risks, and minimizing impacts to the project;
- Undertaking Single Point of Contact (SPOC) role to provide coordination between Contract Management and Project Management teams with regular meetings during construction phase;
- Being the single point of contact for the Contractor regarding all contractual and commercial matters, management of respective meetings;
- Responsible for drafting of Employer communications and responding to Contractor's correspondence;
- Change management (variation orders) including cost assessment/control;
- Claim management including drafting, substantiation, and negotiation of the claim and cost assessment;
- Handling contractual and commercial issues when and as they arise, such as amendments and settlements made to the main contract. Solid experience in contract negotiations;
- Coordinating all commercial operations for the respective package, such as processing payment applications, forecasting of costs, and commercial reporting to the Project;
- Undertaking procurement tasks for the respective package during construction phase, such as procuring additional equipment/tools/scope of work to the package, effective use of SAP. Solid experience in tenders/RFQ;
Requirements:
- University degree in technical fields, preferably with an engineering background or business management;
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in power plant construction projects. Experience in the offshore market is advantageous;
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing high-value and high-risk construction project contracts/claims;
- Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office;
- Readiness to travel internationally when needed. Proficient at collaborating with multiple stakeholders in the construction process;
- Intercultural understanding. Experience in international working environments is beneficial;
- Very good communication skills in English, both orally and written; additional language skills are a valuable addition;
