The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Manager to lead the scientific delivery of the ERN-EuroBloodNet network. This role will involve coordinating and supervising the overall scientific delivery of the network, working closely with project managers based in the three coordination hubs.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of proven expertise in leading and delivering scientific actions in the field of biomedicine/health, including scientific education, best practices, guidelines, telemedicine, registries, and clinical trials/research. They will also have experience in project management, including the preparation of proposals, management of grants, and coordination of teams.

The Scientific Manager will be responsible for coordinating the grant proposal preparation and technical reporting, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of different actions, and coordinating the production of new clinical practice guidelines with key opinion leaders. They will also represent the ERNs coordinators group at the EC and Board of Member States.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Coordinate and supervise the overall scientific delivery of the network
  • Coordinate grant proposal preparation and technical reporting
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of different actions
  • Coordinate the production of new clinical practice guidelines
  • Represent the ERNs coordinators group at the EC and Board of Member States
