Role Overview

As an Associate Assortment Strategist for Foot Locker's Iberia region, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by developing and executing a profitable assortment strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market trends and opportunities, informing assortment planning decisions.
  • Analyze sales data and market insights to optimize product distribution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of local consumer preferences, influencing assortment decisions to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Present regular trade recaps to stakeholders, highlighting trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Support the Visual Merchandising team in creating engaging store displays, driving customer experience.
  • Attend key meetings, including Go-To-Market and Visual Merchandising sessions, to stay informed on company campaigns and initiatives.
  • Partner with Allocation, Buying, and GTM/VM teams to ensure seamless execution of assortment plans.
  • Contribute to the development of best business practices within the merchandising group, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Support test and learn initiatives, driving innovation and scalability.
  • Expect 50% travel time to stores within the Iberia region, engaging with colleagues and customers to drive business results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Fluency in both local language (Spanish) and English is required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify business needs and propose solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a trend-driven, high-volume company.
  • Awareness of European consumer trends and regional differences.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of a complex organization.
  • Proactive communication style, conveying confidence and energy.
  • A passion for the sneaker culture and a deep understanding of the local market.
