Your career advancement is being considered for a position within an Alight Inc group company. As you may be aware, Alight has announced its intention to divest its Payroll & Professional Services business to HIG Capital. After the transaction is finalized, this role will be aligned with the new Payroll & Professional Services entity owned by HIG Capital ('Divested Group'). Service Readiness (SR) provides payroll services to our clients. During project implementation phases, Data Migration plays a crucial role in setting up these services.

The Data Migration Support team is responsible for executing Data Migration for a payroll country, under the supervision of the Data Migration Lead. The support role involves providing DM templates, reviewing client-delivered data (data quality assessment), loading the data, updating the load tracker to monitor errors, proposing solutions to resolve them, reconciling the data, and generating validation reports; in essence, DM Support assists the DM Lead with all Data Migration activities. Steps and processes are defined in the Local DM Plan, which is adjusted for each country by the DM Lead.

The Data Migration (DM) team consists of different levels; a central Senior DM Lead oversees large-scale programs, global strategy, and planning, while the DM Lead is responsible for execution, and the DM Support team assists with volumes where required. We also have Data Scientists providing additional services when necessary.

DM Support serves as the entry-level position for SR Data Migration. After 3-6 months of experience in the DM Support role, individuals are expected to begin taking on customer-facing activities, such as workshops, data mapping sessions, and meetings with clients. The DM Associate role involves effectively and successfully closing activities, meeting KPIs and Quality Thresholds, and supporting the DM Lead. After one year of experience, DM Associates can move into a Senior Associate (DM Lead) role based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the DM Lead and Data Scientist.
  • Provide DM templates adhering to Alight's global and local standards.
  • Review data files provided by the clients for data quality before loading.
  • Loading data into testing and production environments, updating the load tracker with results, reporting errors to the DM Lead, proposing solutions, and monitoring until everything is reconciled and loaded successfully.
  • Generate validation reports and assist with client data validation until sign-off.
  • Share experiences and suggest improvements on data migration templates and loading procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or MBA from a reputable institution.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Data Migration projects.
  • Willingsness to work flexible shifts.
  • A strong team player.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources, TIME, and Payroll concepts, as well as related Data Migration processes.
  • Functional knowledge of HRIS technology, including Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, SAP HCM, Peoplesoft, and Payroll (SAP PY, PT, FIORI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, MS Access, or similar tools.
  • Possession of a passport and willingness to travel for business purposes.
  • High level of English proficiency required.
