Overview

This position is focused on the essential functions of supply chain management within the organization.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will engage in critical inventory management strategy evaluations, product categorization, and the establishment of safety stock parameters. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Supply team in various analyses aimed at determining requirements for specific distribution centers and business units through the creation of purchase orders. The intern will also assist in feasibility studies to enhance the automation of order creation processes.

Key Responsibilities


• Acquire knowledge of the various factors and analyses necessary for planning procurement needs.


• Calculate anticipated procurement requirements and generate orders within the system.


• Familiarize oneself with historical data regarding consumption, sales, and forecasts.


• Assist in developing a product categorization framework that enables the determination of varying safety stock levels based on multiple factors.


• Support teams in executing strategic initiatives.


• Contribute to the assessment of the feasibility of automating order creation for specific product categories.


• Collaborate with various supply planners to gain insights into the diverse scenarios present in each business unit, with the goal of proposing process standardizations.

Networking and Key Relationships

This role necessitates effective communication with essential stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Finance, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams.

Required Qualifications


• Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management (either business or technical training).


• Prior experience is not mandatory, but any relevant experience will be considered advantageous.

Skills and Competencies


• Strong proficiency in analytical tools (advanced Excel skills are essential); familiarity with other data management software such as Minitab, Python, and Power BI is beneficial.


• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships.


• Advanced proficiency in English is a requirement.
