Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administrative elements of Student Life events, projects, and activities, including sign-up lists, mailing, event reminders, communication, reservations, and payments.
- Support the department's cultural programming, event coordination, and student face-to-face interaction, particularly with growing student leader positions.
- Provide administrative support, event handling, and day-to-day work to distribute duties and responsibilities in a more efficient manner as student cohorts grow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Higher Studies, Social Studies, Tourism, Cultural Management, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Experience in American higher education, preferably in a study abroad program or international educational experience.
- Event creation and management experience.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent transcultural and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of student development issues in post-secondary education and study abroad challenges.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Advanced knowledge of media production programs and Microsoft systems.
- Ability to film, photograph, and edit while in events.
- Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to develop ideas independently and encourage proactive suggestions.
- Experience in producing and editing texts in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Higher Studies, Education, Tourism, Cultural Management, Public Relations, Cultural Studies, or related fields.
- Experience in study abroad, international exchange, student services, or residential education.
Additional Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Spain (or EU).
- Ability to collect and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and legitimacy in NYU systems, while following data privacy and security procedures.
