About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS Software Development Engineer to join our team at Ring. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality iOS mobile applications
  • Work closely with our team to investigate design approaches, prototype technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
  • Lead the architecture and design of features from conception to launch
  • Collaborate with team members to improve engineering processes and tools to increase team effectiveness
  • Participate in an agile development process to deliver high-quality software

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of our locations in Madrid, Spain.

Requirements
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • iOS mobile application development experience in Swift
  • Experience contributing to unit testing of mobile applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience optimizing apps for performance
  • Experience with REST architecture for web services
  • Experience designing and developing iOS applications
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Experience with Reactive programming frameworks such as ReactiveSwift and Rx
