About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Fortes lab, CIMA (University of Navarra, Spain). The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge experimental research project focused on the development of biotechnological tools based on natural long non-coding RNAs and derived microproteins or on artificial non-coding sequences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the interplay between DNA damage and functional non-coding RNAs
- Develop biotechnological tools based on natural long non-coding RNAs and derived microproteins or on artificial non-coding sequences
- Collaborate with a network of outstanding researchers to expand expertise from the bench to preclinical models and to the clinical setting
- Contribute to the development of novel RNA therapeutics for tumor cells, with a special focus on hepatocellular carcinoma
Requirements
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines
- Experience with RNA and high throughput studies, cell culture techniques, and willingness to work with preclinical models
- Ability to work independently and creatively coming up with innovative solutions to complex scientific problems
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
