**About the Role**

As the Director of Artificial Intelligence Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Essity's AI vision. We are seeking a visionary leader who embodies our values and is not afraid to challenge, innovate, and experiment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Refine and implement a strategic vision for AI initiatives across the organization, identifying opportunities for AI application and aligning them with our overall strategy.
  • Work closely with the Essity AI Council, IT, analytics, data science, and business teams to facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and drive AI adoption.
  • Establish the AI Center of Excellence as a hub for best practices, organizing training sessions, workshops, and external interactions to promote learning and innovation.
  • Ensure AI initiatives comply with laws, regulations, and ethical standards, aligning with our Beliefs and Behaviors as an ethical guardrail.
  • Stay updated on AI developments and explore innovative opportunities, engaging with thought leaders and industry publications.
  • Lead a team of four direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation and providing necessary resources.
  • Establish key metrics to evaluate the AI Center's success and regularly report to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Participate in strategic activities within IT Strategy and Business Technology leadership.

**Requirements**

  • Over 10 years of experience across various business functions.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with underlying technologies (Data Science, ML).
  • You understand the full value chain of a company like Essity.
  • Passionate, self-driven, and purpose-oriented.
  • A leader who motivates teams and executes visions.
  • Excellent communicator, especially with top management.
  • Trustworthy and diplomatic, building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Skilled in organizational management and translating insights into outcomes.
