The Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) is a renowned public sector institution in Barcelona, Spain, dedicated to promoting and developing innovative biomedical research. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a National Post-Award Grants Officer.
About the RoleThis full-time position offers a challenging opportunity for a highly organized and proactive professional to provide administrative support throughout the lifecycle of national competitive projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Regularly monitoring executed budgets and incomes to identify deviations and communicate them accordingly;
- Preparing economic justifications and audits, timesheet records, and deliverable attainment monitoring;
- Formally requesting changes or amendments to grant agreements and project close-out;
- Maintaining and updating the grants database for accurate activity reports;
- Organizing and monitoring paperwork and electronic documents related to research grants;
In addition to these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a good command of MS Office, and experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and/or financial management software systems.
About YouWe are looking for an individual with a university degree, excellent written and oral communication skills in Catalan and/or Spanish, and a good level of English. Previous experience in research institutions and/or project management in the biomedicine sector will be valued. A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar position managing grants from national funders (ISCIII, AEI, PERIS, LMTV3, etc.) is desirable.
