Postdoctoral Researcher - Autoimmune Inflammatory Diseases
Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing ongoing and new research projects in the Lupus Unit, providing support in the design, implementation, and analysis of experimental studies, and collaborating with clinicians and bioinformaticians to efficiently design and analyze projects.
Responsibilities:- Develop and manage ongoing and new research projects in the Lupus Unit
- Provide support in the design, implementation, and analysis of experimental studies
- Collaborate with clinicians and bioinformaticians to efficiently design and analyze projects
- Analyze omic data from immune-mediated inflammatory disease and carry out experimental studies to validate main findings
- Prepare manuscripts for publication or memory drafts for grants/projects applications
- Keep track of different projects
- PhD related to Biosciences (Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Molecular or Cellular Biology, Genetics, etc.)
- At least 6 years of postdoctoral experience working in autoimmune inflammatory diseases in a top academic centre
- Knowledge of autoimmune diseases and cell biology
- Knowledge of statistics and usage of bioinformatic tools for NGS data (including scRNA-Seq)
- Skills in genomics and transcriptomics (qRT-PCR, RNA-seq) for biomarkers and pathogenesis pathways identification
- Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
