Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our team at Global Payments, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing both accounting and administrative tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is completed timely and accurately according to schedules.
  • Run, import, distribute and/or save reports.
  • Enter manual DNS entries & other recurring entries.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned tasks by communicating, escalating and following up with seniors/management and outside parties on issues/variances.
  • Complete accurate recs & documents: this includes logs, Frontier notes, attachments on variances/rec differences; Frontier classifications (timing, variance, inventory); month end anomalies, and Work Request Forms (WRF's).
  • Classify and resolve rec items within Settlement's Maintenance guidelines, following 7 day variance and 90 day SOX write-off policy.
  • Complete Prelimin close items & Close Settlement books by 7:00 PM EST of 2nd business day with no post close adjustments (preliminary trend completed day 1; and month end close tasks completed according to schedule).
  • APAC to submit 12 Portfolios WD1.
  • Ensure documentation is PCI compliant, properly filed and organized.
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of the Frontier Upgrade or Oracle upgrades, enhancements etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of the Google shared drives & electronic information.
  • Support and contribute to the world wide standardization and maintenance of the general onboarding docs & production logs; variance and issues logs as assigned.
  • Participate in Frontier enhancements and process automation, as assigned by management.
  • Serve as an active team member on small corporate projects and intakes.
  • Support SIT, SAT/UAT completion and post mortem discussion with Settlement Management team.
  • Support the team on the internal and external audit reporting by completing audit documentations and/or participate with the discussion with auditors as needed.
  • Assist management/seniors with special requests.
  • Display commitment and dedication on assigned projects by attending meetings and following through on commitments.
