We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Technician to join our team at Cummins, specializing in service and maintenance of power generation products in the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex issues with generators and components at customer sites, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Anticipate and meet customer needs, applying specialized tools and documented procedures to complete repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on power generation products, adhering to documented schedules and standards.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior Field Service Technicians and/or supervisors.
- Complete required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, and quality documents.
- Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Basic level field service work experience.
- Previous experience in industrial fields, generating sets, and diesel mechanics.
- Experience in data center environments and high-voltage/low-voltage systems preferred.
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
- Higher Degree Vocational Training in Mechanical preferred.
- Intermediate level knowledge of power generation products.
- Customer service experience.
- High English language proficiency.
- Availability to cover emergency service.
- Locally valid driving permit.
Desirable Skills: Proactive person, ability to communicate and handle complex situations; ability to work alone and in a team; customer-oriented.
