Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a skilled Data Center IT Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Centre Operations team, you will be responsible for installing and configuring racks of hosts, diagnosing and repairing issues with server, storage, and network devices, and participating in Data Center power and cooling events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
  • Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage, and network devices, including the physical replacement of parts.
  • Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power and cooling events.
  • Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis).
  • This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift and rack equipment using our lifting equipment.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
