About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Life Science team in Barcelona. This is an exciting opportunity to work on our OFF-X product, a cutting-edge SaaS solution focused on drug safety.

About You

  • 2+ years of industry experience in full-stack software development.
  • Experience developing and designing backend RESTful services.
  • Proficiently working with Elasticsearch or similar search engines to handle data retrieval.
  • Experience writing/optimizing SQL queries for relational databases.
  • Experience of working within an Agile delivery environment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Version Control tools (preferably Git).
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a microservices architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Implementing our backend services.
  • Working as a backend software engineer in a cross-functional team.
  • Writing quality, well-tested, documented code.
  • Adhering to development best practices and standards as set within the team.
  • Helping support existing systems, diagnosing issues, and identifying bugs.

About the Team

The development team based in Barcelona consists of 6 Software Engineers and 2 QA Engineers, plus the Team Lead Software Engineering. You will be working closely with the Solution Analyst and Product Owner helping to shape the scope and the refinements as part of the Agile processes and ceremonies.
