Global Brand Lead for Cresemba

The Global Brand Lead for Cresemba role offers a unique opportunity to manage a cutting-edge brand, launch a new pediatric indication globally, chair the Global Governance and Global Medicines Teams, manage the commercial relationship with Basilea, and drive continued growth for the International Commercial Division by developing the global brand strategy.
CRESEMBA (Isavuconazole) is an extended-spectrum water-soluble triazole developed for the treatment of severe and life-threatening invasive aspergillosis and invasive mucormycosis infections. If left untreated, these infections are associated with near-certain death, affecting immunocompromised patients, especially those with hematology oncology, intubated ICU patients, and severe influenza and COVID-19 patients.
The brand was first launched in the EU in 2015 and has over 35+ launched markets. EU approval for a new Pediatric indication is expected in Q3 2024, with indication launches planned globally, specifically in the EU, China, and EM Asia region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the Brand marketing strategy and positioning of CRESEMBA, including Life Cycle Management.
- Drive launch excellence for the new pediatric indication with customer-insight based content generation and launch sequence planning.
- Co-chair the CRESEMBA Global Medicines Team with Medical, acting as single point of commercial accountability.
- Act as commercial alliance lead with partner Basilea.
- Drive global supply planning and management in partnership with PGS, a critical activity in an API-constrained supply chain.
- Support the development of KOLs and advocacy strategy, including medical education such as congresses and symposia.
- Manage OPEX and ensure the brand budget is focused and spent against highest mROI priorities.
- Oversee market research and implement findings into the promotional platform to deliver growth opportunities.
- Monitor and track CRESEMBA competitive intelligence and customer insights, incorporating relevant findings into strategies and content.
- Lead the cross-functional CRESEMBA team in developing the annual Operating Plan deliverables, aligning across key stakeholders to understand opportunities, risks, customer insights, and define strategies and tactics to meet and exceed these needs.
Mandatory Experience:
- At least 15 years of pharmaceutical experience with broad knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment.
- Robust prior brand marketing background with a strong history of achievement and performance, including financial acumen.
- Demonstrated track record of success in delivering top-line revenue growth and bottom-line performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with different functions and across cultures, partnering with colleagues representing diverse experiences and skills.
- Out-of-the-box thinker, change agile.
- Leadership, executive maturity, and marketing skills to manage a flagship brand.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams in complex matrix environments.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in marketing Anti-Infective products or specialty products to hospital customers.
- Robust prior brand marketing experience at a Global/Regional and Country level.
- Prior experience managing direct reports.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Science, Health Sciences, or Business.
- MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex scientific content and epidemiology data, articulating a well-defined commercial opportunity.
