We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team at the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). The successful candidate will have expertise in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, with a strong background in sample preparation and image analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process samples for immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence
- Perform image acquisition and optimize image analysis pipelines
- Collaborate with our partner hospital to collect and process samples
- More than 5 years of experience as a research technician
- Proven experience in tissue handling, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and image analysis
- Experience with customizable image analysis pipelines
- Knowledge of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer
- Experience with Western Blot, cell culture, qPCR, and other routine cellular and molecular biology techniques
- Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related field
- Proficient in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Drive and commitment to produce high-quality experimental results
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
