We're seeking a motivated, confident, team-oriented individual with excellent technical skills and a passion for best practices and high-quality software. As a Software Engineering Team Lead at Sportradar, you'll be responsible for guiding your team towards delivering exceptional products that serve millions of users daily.

Accountable for a team's delivery, you'll lead by example, improving productivity and predictability while nurturing our culture of collaboration and communication. You'll also actively participate in architectural and technical solutioning to meet product needs.

You'll have a strong technical leadership background, an appreciation for engineering best practices, and quality over quantity of work. Proficiency in .NET and React is ideal, but not essential. We value effective and clear communication in all circumstances and are passionate about bringing great products into our world through collaboration and ingenuity.

Salary: $130,000 per year

Job Description:

  • Lead and guide the most important part of our engineering organisation – our people
  • Responsible for software delivery for a team
  • Collaborate with business analysts, other leaders, and engineers to create the best product for our customers
  • Analyse the scope of Product Team initiatives and coordinate with other squads to estimate, map dependencies, plan sprints, resolve blockers, and ensure timely release to market
  • Work on the design and architecture of our software and hands-on critical tasks
  • Evaluate team efficiency and high-quality work: enforce tech excellence, tech debt management, and regular adjustment of processes and timelines in line with continuous improvement philosophy
  • Collaborate in release activities, including clear and detailed plans or checklists for testing and roll-out
  • Coach engineers to grow professionally and personally
  • Leverage new technologies and trends to drive innovation and growth
  • Show enthusiasm and advocate to drive change

Your Profile:

  • Strong technical leadership experience
  • Appreciation for engineering best practices and quality over quantity of work
  • Proficiency level in .NET and React (ideal)
  • Extensive professional experience in software development, working on robust, complex systems that serve a high volume of users
  • Effective and clear communication skills
