Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at K G Somani & Co. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports, planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management, providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of services.
• Maintain Cost Accounting System, assisting in month end close of the General Ledger, and conducting inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis.
• Generate PPV reports, analyze findings, establish standard costs, and update them as appropriate.
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions, maintain and review the general ledger, and reconcile balance sheets.

• CMA/ CA with 3-5 Years of Work Experience.
• Strong Cost systems background and excellent analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles with attention to detail.
• Computer Literate – Strong Microsoft Office Skills (MS Excel in particular & familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and experience with accounting software.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task, strong time management and organizational skills, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong Financial & general ledger accounting knowledge, interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
