We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at The World Aquaculture Society. As a key member of our Aquaculture Program, you will contribute to the planning and execution of research projects focused on fish nutrition and health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scientific experiments to investigate the effects of different nutrients on fish health.
  • Supervise technical personnel and students to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
  • Collaborate with international partners to share knowledge and best practices in aquaculture research.
  • Write high-quality scientific articles and reports to disseminate research findings.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Aquaculture, Veterinary Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in research and development of fish nutrition and health products.
  • Strong knowledge of bacterial diseases and immunology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Tilapia culture.
  • Advanced immunology techniques applied to the study of the pathogenesis of bacterial infections.
  • Experience in techniques such as fluorescence and confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, RNAseq, EliSpot, etc.
