Job Title: Equipment Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our Global Asset Engineering and Design Team at Apm Terminals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing input and assistance in the deployment of terminal equipment, translating operational requirements into technical specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop standard specifications for equipment and keep them updated with new technologies and learnings from the terminals.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop Employer's General Requirements, ensuring integration of safety, operational, maintenance, automation, and asset digitization requirements.
  • Follow type approval process and maintain a register of equipment-systems-components approved for global usage.
  • Work on due diligence, new business cases, and automation trends with the wider engineering team.
  • Elaborate documents for Request for Proposal of suppliers and conduct technical feasibility evaluations.
  • Participate in tender teams, analyzing and evaluating suppliers' proposals, and achieve design review.
  • Support projects in hiring, onboarding, and functionally managing project Equipment Managers.
  • Work closely with global Automation function to ensure up-to-date knowledge on Automation and Technology trends.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Equipment Technical Specs definition and Engineering Subject Matter Expert in Project Execution Teams.
  • In-depth heavy equipment experience, preferably in a Ports environment.
