About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at ArcelorMittal. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance
- Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Collaborate with the Industrial Director to develop and implement environmental procedures.
- Production Planning and Coordination
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and company objectives.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a team of production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee development plans.
Requirements
- Education
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a production or operations environment.
- Proven experience in process analytics and optimization.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Decision-making, pragmatic, and problem-solving attitude.
- Self-motivated, personable, and a good team player.
Language
- Fluent Spanish skills are mandatory, working proficiency in English is required.
